How can we help?
Answers to the most common questions — and a direct line to the developer when you need one.
Getting started
How do I find my current cadence?
Start the metronome, then use Tap Tempo and tap along with your steps for a few seconds while you run — or read cadence from your Apple Watch. See the cadence guide for how to choose a target.
What is free and what is Premium?
The metronome, basic intervals, widgets, Apple Health saving and Strava sync are free. Premium is a one-time purchase that unlocks Studio, the AI coach, Insights, the Apple Watch app, any Bluetooth heart-rate sensor, motion analysis, all preset workouts and unlimited saved intervals. There is no subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Tap any Premium feature — for example Settings → Heart rate sensor — to open the Premium screen, then tap Restore Purchases. On Apple Watch, use Restore purchase on the watch’s Premium screen. Use the same Apple ID you bought with; one purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
Heart rate and sensors
My heart-rate strap does not connect
Make sure Bluetooth is on and the strap is moist and worn — most straps only broadcast when they detect a heartbeat. Close other apps that may hold the connection (for example the manufacturer’s app), then go to Settings → Heart rate sensor → Scan for Devices. Any standard Bluetooth heart-rate strap should appear.
Apple Watch shows no heart rate or does not save my run
On your iPhone, open Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Cadence Coach and turn on Workouts and Heart Rate. Also check Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness. Then start a new run from the watch.
Can I run with only my Apple Watch?
Yes. Start the workout on the watch and leave your phone at home. The run is saved to Apple Health on the watch and syncs to your iPhone later.
Studio and treadmills
Will my treadmill work with Studio?
Live treadmill data needs Bluetooth FTMS. See the compatibility list. Gym treadmills with Apple GymKit work through setup B, and any treadmill works with setup C.
Apple Watch data does not reach the iPad
The watch sends data to your iPhone, which relays it to the iPad. Keep Cadence Coach open on the iPhone, put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network, and allow Local Network for Cadence Coach in iPhone and iPad Settings.
Sync and data
Connecting Strava
Go to Settings → Strava & Apple Health and connect Strava. Finished workouts upload automatically as indoor runs with heart rate and cadence. Cadence Coach does not record GPS routes.
How do I export or delete my data?
Open Settings → Your data. You can see what is stored, export sessions as JSON or CSV, and delete the session archive or coaching history. Deleting the app also removes all data stored by it. See the privacy policy.
Contact
Email [email protected]. It helps to include your device model, iOS / watchOS version, the app version (Settings) and — for watch issues — a screenshot of the watch app’s Diagnostics tab. You will usually hear back within two working days.
